Itinerary
Pick-up: 8:00AM
Departing from Saigon and heading to Vinh Long (~2 hours / 130 km). Upon arrival, take a walk to visit Vinh Long market before boarding on a private boat to cruise along the typical maze of waterways and canals of the Mekong Delta, then stopping for lunch at a local house with tasty authentic Vietnamese food. After lunch, visit a local brick and pottery workshops to witness how locals work for their livings. Then stop at some local workshop to see how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop-rice. Enjoy some sweets with a cup of hot tea. Towards the end of the day, meet and greet your homestay family, take a short cycling or walking tour and enjoy free time for personal discovery. Having homemade dinner and spend the night at the homestay.Ā


Have breakfast before check out and boarding on boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world – Mekong River. The rowboat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy the peaceful time, Then, visit Tan Phong island for biking on village paths to see the local daily life. On the way, stop to see how they make rice-net for spring-rolls, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage roof and specially see how they wave the dried water–hyacinth to make many products. Having lunch and transferring back to Ho Chi Minh City.Ā
