Cruise to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, cool off beneath the turquoise cascades of Kuang Si Falls, and wander through temple courtyards echoing with centuries of devotion.

Itinerary


Day 1 – Arrival in Luang Prabang (-)

Welcome to Luang Prabang — the spiritual heart of Laos and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you and transfer you to your centrally located hotel. After a short rest, begin your discovery with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, once home to the Lao royal family, and Wat Mai, famous for its golden bas-reliefs.

As the afternoon softens, climb Mount Phousi for panoramic views over the city and the Mekong River at sunset — a magical introduction to Luang Prabang’s serenity.

End the day wandering through the Night Market, where Hmong artisans sell beautiful handwoven textiles.

Day 2 – Luang Prabang & Pak Ou Caves (B)

After breakfast, visit Wat Sene, one of the city’s oldest temples, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, famed for its intricate ā€œTree of Lifeā€ mosaic.

Then embark on a scenic boat cruise upstream the Mekong River, passing peaceful villages and limestone cliffs. Stop to explore the revered Pak Ou Caves, filled with thousands of Buddha statues left by pilgrims over centuries. Along the way, visit Ban Xanghai, known for its traditional rice wine, and Ban Xang Khong, where artisans produce handmade silk and Saa paper.

Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon.

Day 3 – Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls – Train to Vientiane (B,L)

After breakfast, take a scenic drive into the countryside toward the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls. En route, stop at several ethnic minority villages to learn about their traditions and crafts.

At the falls, enjoy time to swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest trails. After lunch, return to Luang Prabang for your high-speed train journey to Vientiane, the laid-back capital of Laos.

Upon arrival, take a short orientation walk along the Mekong Riverside, where locals gather to enjoy the sunset.

Day 4 – Vientiane City Tour & Departure (B)

If time allows, browse the Morning Market or the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
