Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, your guide and driver will welcome you with warm Cambodian hospitality and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.
After lunch at a local restaurant, begin your discovery of the capital. Visit the Independence Monument, National Museum, and the Royal Palace, home to Cambodia’s royal family. Within its grounds lies the stunning Silver Pagoda, named for its floor of over 5,000 silver tiles. End the day at Wat Phnom, a hilltop temple offering city views and a glimpse into local legends.

After breakfast, travel 15 km outside the city to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, where over 17,000 victims lost their lives during the Khmer Rouge regime. This solemn site offers space for reflection and remembrance.
Return to Phnom Penh for lunch, then continue to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) — once a high school turned prison during the 1970s. Hear stories of survival and courage from one of the few living survivors.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before setting off on your overland journey to Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor. The scenic drive reveals snapshots of rural life — rice paddies, palm trees, and roadside markets.
En route, stop in Skoun, fondly nicknamed “Spiderville,” where locals sell the famous fried tarantula snack — a quirky taste of Cambodian tradition. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before continuing north to Siem Reap.

Rise early for a sunrise over Angkor Wat, when the temple’s silhouette is mirrored perfectly in the lotus ponds. After returning to your hotel for breakfast, begin exploring the wonders of the Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Enter the ancient walled city of Angkor Thom, once the capital of the Khmer Empire. Pass through the South Gate, then marvel at the enigmatic faces of Bayon Temple, with 216 smiling stone towers gazing serenely in every direction. Continue to the Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King, each adorned with intricate carvings.
After lunch, explore Ta Prohm, where fig trees and silk-cotton roots embrace temple walls in a spectacular dance between nature and architecture — famously featured in Tomb Raider.
In the afternoon, return to Angkor Wat for a deeper visit. Walk its galleries of epic bas-reliefs, climb the central tower for sweeping views, and admire its perfect symmetry glowing in the afternoon light.

After breakfast, venture beyond the main circuit to explore the quieter side of Angkor. Begin with Preah Khan, a sprawling temple of crumbling corridors once dedicated to King Jayavarman VII’s father. Continue to Neak Poan, a serene water temple built on an artificial island, and Ta Som, where a giant tree dramatically engulfs the eastern gate.
Visit the Cambodian Landmine Museum, founded by Aki Ra, whose demining efforts have saved countless lives. Then, travel to Banteay Srei, often called the “Jewel of Khmer Art,” renowned for its delicate pink sandstone carvings dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
