Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Siem Reap | Floating Village & Tonle Sap Lake

Welcome to Siem Reap, the gateway to the Temples of Angkor. Upon arrival at Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport (SAI), you’ll be warmly greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in and rest.

In the afternoon, begin your Cambodian adventure with a visit to Kampong Khleang or Kampong Phluk, one of Tonle Sap Lake’s most authentic floating villages. Board a private boat to glide past stilted wooden homes, floating schools, and fishing boats. As the sun begins to set over the lake, the golden light reflects on the water, creating a truly peaceful scene.

Return to Siem Reap for the evening. You may wish to explore the Old Market (Phsar Chas) and Pub Street, where cafƩs and restaurants come alive under the lanterns.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Inclusions: Airport pick-up, private guide & vehicle, Tonle Sap boat trip, hotel accommodation.

Day 2 – Angkor Archaeological Park (Small Circuit) | Sunrise & Highlights

Rise early to witness the sunrise at Angkor Wat, when the temple’s spires are mirrored in the lotus-filled moat — a sight that captures the soul of Cambodia.

After breakfast, explore Angkor Thom, the last great capital of the Khmer Empire. Enter through the South Gate flanked by guardian statues and discover the mysterious Bayon Temple, where 216 smiling faces gaze serenely over the city. Stroll past Baphuon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King, richly decorated with mythical carvings.

Continue to Ta Prohm, the famous ā€œjungle templeā€ wrapped in giant tree roots — an unforgettable scene of nature reclaiming stone. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Angkor Wat for an in-depth visit. Learn about its symbolism, intricate bas-reliefs, and climb the central tower (if open) for panoramic views of the complex.

Overnight in Siem Reap.

Inclusions: Private guide & transport, Angkor Pass, temple visits, lunch.

Day 3 – The Grand Circuit Temples | Sunset at Phnom Bakheng

Today’s route reveals the Grand Circuit — where lesser-visited temples showcase the diversity of Angkor’s architecture. Begin at Prasat Kravan, known for its unique brick carvings of Vishnu and Lakshmi. Continue to Banteay Kdei, a quiet monastery complex, and Srah Srang, once a royal bathing pond.

Head next to Pre Rup, a pyramid-shaped temple believed to be a royal cremation site, followed by East Mebon, where stone elephants guard the corners of the temple. Visit Ta Som, famous for its gate entwined with a sacred fig tree, and then Neak Pean, a small island temple surrounded by water believed to have

healing powers. End the afternoon at Preah Khan, a vast monastic complex filled with intricate carvings, before climbing Phnom Bakheng hill to watch the sun set over the forested plains.

Inclusions: Private guide & transport, temple visits, Angkor Pass.

Day 4 – Banteay Srei & Beng Mealea | Hidden Treasures Beyond Angkor

Venture beyond the main park to explore Cambodia’s hidden masterpieces. Drive north through rural villages to Banteay Srei, the ā€œCitadel of Women.ā€ Built in pink sandstone and adorned with incredibly detailed carvings, it’s considered one of the finest examples of Khmer art.

Continue through scenic countryside to Beng Mealea, a remote 12th-century temple still largely overrun by jungle vines and towering trees. Wander through fallen corridors and mossy courtyards that evoke the atmosphere of an untouched world. The experience feels like stepping into a real-life adventure movie.

After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Siem Reap for a restful evening.

Inclusions: Private guide & transport, temple visits, lunch at local restaurant.

Day 5 – Farewell Siem Reap | Airport Transfer

Enjoy your final morning at leisure before your transfer to Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport for your onward flight. If time permits, you may visit the Angkor National Museum or shop for handicrafts before departure.

Inclusions: Breakfast, airport transfer
