Overview

This half-day private tour focuses on the early daily routines of Ho Chi Minh City residents. Starting at dawn, the itinerary includes a visit to Tao Dan Park, the Ho Thi Ky wholesale flower market, and a traditional local breakfast. The tour concludes with a practical two-hour Coffee Class focusing on Vietnamese coffee culture, brewing methods, and basic roasting techniques.

Itinerary

  • Pick-up: 6:00 AM (at your hotel)

  • Drop-off: ~12:00 PM

Tao Dan Park & Bird Club: Start your day early at Tao Dan Park in the city center. Observe locals engaging in activities such as Tai Chi, aerobics, or light exercises. The park is a traditional gathering place for bird owners who bring their cages every morning to train their birds to sing. Sit at a nearby park cafe to relax with a cup of local tea or coffee and witness this daily local scene.

Ho Thi Ky Flower Market: Take a short ride to the city’s largest flower market. Walk through the active stalls filled with tropical flowers, which is transported daily from the Mekong Delta or Da Lat, providing clear opportunities to capture authentic street pictures.

Local Breakfast: Stop by a nearby local restaurant to eat breakfast. Your guide will assist you in ordering popular southern morning dishes, such as Pho, Noodle Soup, or Broken Rice (Com Tam), depending on your preference.

Vietnamese Coffee Class (2 Hours): Transfer to the workshop venue for an interactive session led by a dedicated Coffee Guide. The class begins with a multi-sensory experiment to help you identify different flavor profiles. You will then practice brewing two specific Lacàph coffee blends using simple methods that you can replicate at home. Each coffee is paired with a sweet treat chosen to enhance its specific flavors. Finally, you will participate in roasting a small batch of Phin Blend, learning to identify the audible roasting cracks and the aromatic profile of modern Vietnamese coffee.

Return: The tour concludes around noon with a transfer back to your hotel.
